Understanding Hair Loss

Natural Remedies for Hair

The hair has three layers:

The cuticle: This is the outermost layer. This consists of flattened squamous cells and serves as a protective wall against water and dirt. When the cohesion of these cells is damaged hair loses its brightness and the ends open.

Crust: This layer consists of keratinized cells and the pigment that gives color to hair. This layer is responsible for giving color, strength, elasticity and flexibility to hair.

Medulla: This is the central part of the hair. The very fine hair does not have this part.

To have beautiful hair, the best advice is watch your diet. A balanced diet as well as benefit your overall health, will help you have a hair silky, rich and full of shine. (more…)
