Stress Causes Hair Loss

I doubt there is a person who can honestly say that no stress in your life. Even the happy things, like weddings and births cause a type of stress. Most important is how we handle stress. If you are stressed and experiencing hair loss, the two causes are likely to be connected in some degree. There are different types of stress that can affect us and I think they are all interconnected. There are ways to reduce stress levels through some treatments and processes.

Emotional stress is often caused by problems, illnesses, injuries and trauma. The loss of a job, relocation or loss of a loved one or pet can create emotional stress. Outside the tension, some people may develop nervous habits. Nervous habits include rubbing the scalp too much and literally pull their hair.

Physical stress can be a disease that includes chronic diseases such as diabetes or asthma. When the body is trying to heal itself, sometimes the power used to grow hair, for instance, is diverted to the area where there is a bigger problem.

Physical stress can also include pregnancy, childbirth, menstruation and menopause.
In these cases, hormone levels are irregular and can affect the hair follicles causing harm or decreasing. Once the physical stress is reduced or eliminated, you can see how the hair grows back over time.

The spiritual stress may be a crisis in faith, the negative developments in the church or the restriction of freedom of worship. Life events like the death of a loved one, all kinds of emotional problems or job loss can lead to questions about their faith in God, whatever religion you practice.

Effects of stress

Stress affects us in various forms. Some people can eat more, while others can not eat enough to be healthy. Some may have the sense of worry that causes depression, which may deepen the problem. Some patients may have chronic symptoms such as stomachaches or headaches. Others may develop heart problems or other diseases such as asthma.

Stress can cause hair loss due to nervous habits as mentioned above. This can cause breakage, damage to the hair follicle and hair loss.

Managing stress

It’s important to the mental, physical and spiritual learning to control your stress. If you have a hobby of some sort, this can help you relax and put things out of your head for a while.

Learn relaxation techniques can not only benefit your mind and spirit, but also to your body. By learning to relax your body, your whole being could become more relaxed. This could reduce nervous habits and levels of anxiety. Relaxation techniques can be done almost anywhere.

If necessary, you may want talk with a psychologist to help you understand what is causing tensions. You can also learn to identify stress triggers and how to deal with them when they come to light. A psychologist can help you learn these relaxation techniques. Yoga is extremely helpful in reducing stress, tone your body and make it more flexible. The body will be healthier and of course your hair as well.
Conclusion
